Kazuri Beads are made in Nairobi, Kenya, Africa The company has been in business for almost 40 years providing jobs for 350 local women. Each bead is handmade from clay, painted and fired. Each piece of jewelry I make with these Kazuri beads will have a minimum of 2 Kazuri beads used. My daughter brought me back a bag of Kaszuri beads after getting a tour of the facility when she visited Africa summer '13. This jewelry set has 2 Kazuri beads that go well together. The pendant is on a new type of chain I discovered - camo aluminum chains. This one is desert camo colors of tans and olives and brown shades. The bracelet is 7 inches with a clasp. The chain on the necklace is 18 inches long - also the aluminum camo with a clasp. The pendant has 2 large Kazuri beads, freform colors that goes well with the chain. The pendant is 1 3/4 inches long> I can assure you there is not another necklace like this in existence anywhere and I cannot make another one. I attempted to purchase more of these in the USA. I could only locate 2 distributors of these beads and they are sold individually and can cost up to $80 for a single bead. There is not another bracelet like this in the world I can assure you. I have matched pieces as closely as possible. Guaranteed to be a conversation piece.
